In Spring 2016, Aconite will hold its first-ever Acorn to Oak Tree Gala to celebrate its 20th anniversary. It will take place in New York. Start-up companies are encouraged to attend this event, as many of the executive members will be present, as well as companies that have worked with Aconite in the past. Chief Executive Officer Louis Woodham will be leading a short talk with Chief Financial Officer Oran Plaskett, and will set aside a one-hour segment for a Q&A with the gala guests.

Spots for attendees outside of the guest list are limited and will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis. To reserve up to (4) seats and peruse the menu we’ve arranged for the gala.

Chairman Adrian Molloy will be attending TechCrunch’s Disrupt London Hackathon in Winter 2015. He will be participating in a panel discussion on the How-To’s of starting a company, and how venture capital groups can assist in the process from start to finish. If you cannot make it to the scheduled talk, fear not! Adrian and Director of Fund Investor Relations Jonathan Sarkozi will also be wandering around the convention and attending the other panels as audience members, so don’t be shy: they encourage any and all entrepreneurs, investors, hackers, or simply tech fans to approach them, and are glad to answer any questions you may have.

After successfully going public in 2014, Rosauers Optical is opening its first set of laboratories in the Great White North as of 2015. Rosauers Optical, founded by brothers Chance and Jesse McKenzie, reached out to Aconite Capital late in 2013; we have been working tirelessly with them for the past several months, and are more than ecstatic to see them branch into Canada. Laboratories will be located in the cities of Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. Rosauers encourages any optical lab technicians interested in a position to visit their main office in Toronto to apply for a position.
