Aconite Capital’s Flora and Fauna Fundraiser is back for its fifth consecutive year! The fundraiser started in 2010 when it was brought to the board of directors’ attention that several underdeveloped neighbourhoods in Detroit lacked recreational spaces. In an effort to improve the quality of these communities, Aconite Capital held a fundraiser luncheon, the proceeds of which went directly to the building and subsequent maintenance of parks in the districts.

After the construction was completed, luncheon guests were invited back to the site to help plant flowers and trees. Together with the donors, the Aconite Board of Directors did the honour of cutting the ribbon and opening the gardens to the public. The event was such a huge success that we decided to hold the same fundraiser the next year, and the year after that.

The event will be catered by one of Aconite Capital’s newest clients, twenty6planets. Vegetarian and vegan options will be offered on the menu.
